What is Steak Nite?
On paper, Steak Nite appears to be as simple as combining a good steak with a good bottle of wine. But it’s much, much more…
Steak Nite is a tradition… a celebration… a release. It’s like a Birthday or Christmas, but it happens 52 times a year! It’s about the build up and anticipation… whether you are looking forward to the social event, the relief of a hard week of work, or an intimate meal with a loved one. It’s something you look forward to each and every week.
Steak Nite is, of course, modeled around the pairing of delicious food and drink (for us it’s usually wine), and much consideration is indeed placed on finding a great combination of the two. There are few things on earth as amazing as finding the perfect combination of food and wine. In fact, searching for that great combination has become the ultimate quest and a fundamental element of SteakNite. But it’s about friend’s and family too. It’s about the experience and the time spent together.
Once Steak Nite has arrived, there is no rush to get the meal over with… so take it slow. In fact, sitting down for dinner usually happens much later than expected. SteakNite is about the process of building the meal as well. Usually we start with a cocktail of sorts to kick off the evening, the wine is then opened and tasted to get a glimpse of whats to come. The food is leisurely prepped while the attention is directed toward the company at hand… a bit of unwinding… and just settling in before the big payoff of a fantastic meal.
After all is said and done, Steak Nite should not have felt like just another meal but felt like an event that you want to attend again and again, week after week…..
